MAX A. THAYER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
As many of you know, February 14, 2010 marks the second anniversary of the death of my Dad, Max Thayer. Max was the founder and CEO of MegaForce, Loma Land and Cattle and also served as CEO of AdKore Staffing Group.
To honor his memory and to keep his legacy alive, we established the Max A. Thayer Memorial Scholarship Fund with the help of MegaForce Managing Partner Charlie Fossell and many donations from MegaForce and AdKore employees.

YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG
PART 2
In the last MegaBlog GO!, we talked about how, when it comes to hiring, “you’re doing it wrong” (Remember Mr. Mom?). We discussed the reasons why the interview process (or lack thereof) your organization is probably using is only about 2% better than a coin flip in helping you choose the best candidate for your job opening. KEEP THE BEST OR GET STUCK WITH THE REST
PART 1
In a previous MegaBlog GO!, we covered the possibility of a 2010 employee exodus. Recently, 2 more items have surfaced which could be additional indicators of that possibility. The Conference Board's survey was released, reporting that U.S. job satisfaction has fallen to the lowest level in 22 years, showing that fewer than half of US workers are satisfied with their jobs. Also, according to government reports, the U.S. economy grew at the fastest pace in more than six years during the fourth quarter of 2009.
While job growth has remained stagnant so far, the conditions are brewing for huge employee turnover sometime this year. The question remains, “If an employee exodus is coming, what can employers do about it?” Here are some ideas on how companies can prevent, or at least reduce, a costly talent drain.
